The Istanbul Provincial Health Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner, spoke about the condition of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who has been in intensive care for 15 days following surgery. He stated, "Mr. Sırrı underwent a serious operation and is going through a difficult process. We are monitoring him, and as doctors, we always have hope. He still remains in critical condition."
Due to a heart condition, the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Istanbul MP of the DEM Party, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, was hospitalized and has been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit for 15 days following surgery.

After being admitted to a private hospital in Şişli on the evening of April 15, the condition of Deputy Speaker Sırrı Süreyya Önder remains serious. Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner spoke about the ongoing situation.

In statements regarding Önder's condition, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güner said, "We wish him a speedy recovery. In fact, we have seen how high-level health services are provided in Istanbul with the special public partnership, especially through Mr. Sırrı's operation. We are talking about a patient who was reached in 3 minutes and transferred in 7 minutes, and I would like to thank everyone involved, as I consider all of them as part of my team, regardless of the public-private distinction regarding the right hospital choice. Mr. Sırrı underwent a serious operation and is going through a tough process. May God grant him healing, and we are monitoring the situation. As doctors, we always have hope. We wish for him to return to us as soon as possible. He is going through a difficult process, and the life-threatening risk still continues. He came out of a challenging operation, and I hope he can overcome this process," he stated.
