The 14-year friendship between fisherman Adem and the stork Yaren in Bursa has attracted great interest. Those who want to see Yaren, the harbinger of spring, flocked to Bursa. The friendship between fisherman Adem Yılmaz and Yaren the stork, in the village of Eskikaraağaç in the Karacabey district, the only village representing Turkey in the European Stork Villages Union, has turned into a story followed with great interest by millions. Yaren, who comes every migration season, returned to Yılmaz's boat this year as well. While Nazlı arrived in Eskikaraağaç on March 13, Yaren came two days later, landing on Adem Yılmaz's boat. "YAREN IS PROOF THAT WILD ANIMALS CAN LOVE TOO"
Hilal Karaca, who said she came to see Yaren the stork from Istanbul, stated, "I had never been here before. I saw the story of Yaren the stork and Uncle Adem on social media. I was very curious. I just wanted to see it up close. The story of Uncle Adem and Yaren is a long adventure. I came from Istanbul to see it up close. Yaren is an animal that proves that even wild animals can love," she said.
"I CAME FROM BALIKESIR FOR YAREN THE STORK"
İsmail Hakkı Bayatay, who said that Yaren the stork took him back to his childhood, stated, "I came from Balıkesir for Yaren the stork. I saw her story on television. I used to come to Bursa often, but this is my first time in this village. I used to hear Yaren's beak sound every morning in our garden. Every time I heard it, it reminded me of our childhood experiences," he said.
"I COULDN'T HOLD BACK MY TEARS WHEN I SAW IT ON TELEVISION"
Vediha Yüksel, who said she came to see Yaren the stork from İnegöl, noted that when Yaren arrives, spring also comes, stating, "I come from İnegöl. I saw her on television years ago. I came last year too. I was eagerly waiting this year. I couldn't hold back my tears when I saw her on television. When Yaren comes, spring comes. It is truly a beautiful example of loyalty," she expressed.
