U.S. President Donald Trump announced that 48 leaders were killed simultaneously in the attacks on Iran. Trump continued his remarks by saying, "No one believes in our success in Iran. Things are going very well."
U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the attacks on Iran in a statement to the American press.
Trump stated, "We killed 48 Iranian leaders in a single strike. Things are going very well. No one can believe our success in Iran. The U.S. operation in Iran is ahead of schedule," he said.
"THEY WOULD HAVE HAD NUCLEAR WEAPONS IN TWO WEEKS"
In his evaluations regarding Iran's nuclear program, Trump said, "If it weren't for our attacks on their nuclear facilities, Iran would have had nuclear weapons in two weeks." With these words, Trump argued that the timing of the operations is critical, reiterating that the U.S. will absolutely not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28, while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
In response, Iran attacked targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the U.S.-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives and 747 were injured in the bombings targeting the country.
