Among those who extended condolences to the martyr's family were Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, head of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu, and head of opposition IYI (Good) Party Meral Aksener.
