Turkiye's benchmark stock index was down 0.25% to end Tuesday at 2,375 points.
After starting the day at 2.392,05 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 5.9 points from the previous close of 2,380.90 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 2,372.83 points, while its daily high was 2,399.31 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.9 trillion Turkish liras ($121.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 34.07 billion Turkish liras ($2.614 billion).
During the second transaction day of the week, 49 stocks on the index rose, 47 fell, and four were unchanged, compared to the previous close.
Industrial machinery producer Jantsa was the best performer of the day with its shares up by 10%, while real investment trust Nurol GMYO saw the biggest drop, losing 8.23%.
The price of an ounce of gold was $1,866.64, while Brent crude oil was sold at around $111 per barrel as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1526GMT).
