Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz began his speech on the 2025 budgets of the Presidency and affiliated and related institutions in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey by greeting the Assembly on behalf of President Erdoğan. "WE STAND BY THE ENTIRE SYRIAN PEOPLE"

Emphasizing that a new era is being faced in Syria, Yılmaz stated that the undemocratic, authoritarian regime and dictatorship have been overthrown, and the Syrian people have created a new environment. He explained that there is a temporary administration in neighboring Syria and that they expect Syria to continue on its path with a permanent political structure in the future, continuing his remarks as follows:

"As the Republic of Turkey, our stance here is very clear. We advocate for a political structure that encompasses all Syrian people, regardless of their religion, sect, belief, or ethnic identity, and we are making every effort to contribute to this. We are in favor of Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty. We want Syria to continue to exist as a whole and to create a future filled with peace and prosperity. We want to see a Syria that does not export instability to its neighbors and the region, has achieved peace and stability within itself, and contributes to the peace and prosperity of the entire region. This is certainly not easy. The process we are in contains some uncertainties and risks, but we are fully committed to standing by the entire Syrian people and will continue to do so."

"A FIRST IN OUR HISTORY, MAY IT BE A BLESSING"

After his speech, Cevdet Yılmaz also answered a question regarding the absence of the President of the Defense Industry in the Assembly. Yılmaz said, "I gave him permission. He called me; there was a very important agreement for our country to be made in Portugal, and I told him to go and make this agreement on behalf of the institution - besides, the bureaucrats of the institution do not have the right to speak here anyway - when there is a need for institutional information, I get it from our friends. What agreement did he make? Today, Mr. Haluk Görgün attended the signing ceremony for 2 naval supply and logistics support ships for the Portuguese Navy in Portugal, and these signatures were signed. For the first time in our history, a military ship export contract was made to an EU and NATO member country; may it be a blessing. We thank everyone who contributed, especially our Defense Industry. Last year, our exports were 5.5 billion dollars, and this year, we aim to achieve exports close to 7 billion dollars; this is our target," he said.
