Heavy snowfall continues to affect many cities. The Sivas-Kayseri highway has been closed due to intense snowstorm, and vehicles are stranded on the road. Additionally, a chain collision occurred in the region, injuring 4 people.
One of the provinces warned with a yellow code by the General Directorate of Meteorology, Sivas, has been affected by heavy snowfall. After the snow, which started in the night hours and continued until noon, disruptions in transportation occurred.
One of the important routes connecting the Central Anatolia Region to Eastern Anatolia, the Kayseri-Malatya highway, was closed to large vehicles in the Gürün district. Traffic police, who set up a control point at the Mazıkıran Pass, which is at an altitude of 1,800 meters, did not allow large vehicles to pass.
A CHAIN REACTION ACCIDENT OCCURRED
A chain reaction traffic accident also occurred in Sivas. The Sivas-Kayseri highway was closed due to heavy snowfall, and vehicles were stranded on the road.
TEAMS MOBILIZED FOR PREGNANT WOMAN
The heavy snowfall, which continues to affect the entire province, has negatively impacted daily life. After the snowfall, many village and settlement roads were closed to traffic. For Z.B. (33), who experienced birth complications in the village of Gümüşdiğin in the Altınyayla district, snow removal teams were mobilized. The District Special Administration teams were activated to open the closed village road. The teams cleared the road for the ambulance to reach the village. After the road was opened, Z.B. was taken to the ambulance and transported to the Altınyayla State Hospital for treatment.
