Due to drought, the planned and rotational water cuts implemented in İzmir will continue until November 15. As water resources decrease, water cuts will persist in many districts.

Due to drought and decreasing water resources in İzmir, planned and rotational water cuts applied every two days have been extended until November 15. It was announced by the İzmir Water and Sewerage Administration (İZSU) that the planned and rotational water cuts, which are applied every two days, will continue until November 15. The cuts will continue to be implemented in 13 districts, including Karşıyaka, Çiğli, Bayraklı, Menemen, Gaziemir, Bornova, Buca, Karabağlar, Balçova, Konak, Narlıdere, Güzelbahçe, and Menderes. According to the new schedule; in the first region, which includes the districts of Karşıyaka, Çiğli, Bayraklı, Menemen, Bornova, Gaziemir, and Menderes, planned and rotational water cuts will be applied in designated neighborhoods on the dates of October 31, November 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14, while in the second region, which includes the districts of Karabağlar, Konak, Bornova, Balçova, Narlıdere, Güzelbahçe, Buca, and Gaziemir, planned and rotational water cuts will be applied in designated neighborhoods on November 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

THERE IS NO WATER LEFT IN TWO DAMS

Despite the continuation of planned water cuts, the water level in the dams in İzmir continues to decrease day by day. According to İZSU data; the filling rate of the Tahtalı Dam, which supplies a large portion of the city's drinking water, has dropped to 1.77%. The water level in the Ürkmez Dam is at 3.7%, while it has decreased to 46.86% in the Güzelhisar Dam. The filling rate of the Alaçatı Kutlu Aktaş Dam has been recorded at 0.5%, while there is no water left in the Gördes Dam and Balçova Dam.
