The trial of Yasemin Gündoğan, who robbed an armored cash transport vehicle in Bremen, Germany, and hid in Turkey for 1,033 days with 8.2 million euros, has begun. Yasemin (32), who was brought to court with her hands in handcuffs, stated that she received only about 25,000 euros from the 8.2 million, while the rest went to the gang leader Yiğit T. and his team in Turkey. ATTENTION-GRABBING OUTFIT AT THE HEARINGYasemin, who arrived at the hearing in Bremen wearing luxury brand glasses and a dress, appeared quite relaxed while facing a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years. In court, Yasemin explained that everything started as a joke and then became serious, stating that a friend and then the gang were involved in the robbery and escape. She mentioned that at the beginning of the incident, there was a person named Yigit T. who operated a call center in Turkey, and ideas such as digging a tunnel, hostage-taking, and using weapons were proposed, but none of these seemed suitable to her. Bild Newspaper published Yasemin being brought to court in handcuffs in this way. LOCKED IN A VILLA, MONEY GONEAccording to a report in Sözcü, Yasemin, who fled to Turkey after the robbery, stated that this gang locked her in a villa, dragged her from place to place, and made her change locations multiple times. It was noted that a much larger amount than 8 million euros was taken to Turkey by this gang and shared, while Yasemin claimed that she planned to receive about 6 million euros but was left with only 20-25 thousand euros. BEING TRIED IN CUSTODYYasemin stated that Turkey had started to become very dangerous for her, as an acquaintance was shot and injured by the gang's circle. She then decided to return to Germany after consulting with her lawyer. Yasemin, who came to Bremen earlier this year and was arrested at the airport, was briefly released but was later re-arrested. Her trial continues while she remains in custody.
