The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) reported that a C130 cargo plane, which took off from Azerbaijan to Turkey, crashed in Georgia.
In a statement from the MSB, it was stated, "A C130 cargo plane of ours, which took off from Azerbaijan to come to our country, has crashed in Georgia. Search and rescue operations have been initiated in coordination with Georgian authorities. There were 20 personnel on board, including the flight crew. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing. We respectfully announce this to the public."
ERDOĞAN: MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR MARTYRS Speaking at the Urbanism Summit held at the AK Party Congress Center, President Erdoğan expressed his sorrow regarding the incident, saying, "Today, we learned with deep sadness that our military C-130 aircraft, which was coming from Azerbaijan to our country, has crashed at the Georgia-Azerbaijan border. Our efforts to reach the wreckage are continuing in coordination with the country’s authorities. Hopefully, we will emerge from this accident with at least one misfortune. May God have mercy on our martyrs. With our prayers, we will hopefully be by their side," he said.

ALIYEV CALLED PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called President Erdoğan to express his condolences regarding the crash of the military cargo plane at the Georgia-Azerbaijan border. In his message, Aliyev said, "I share your grief in this difficult time and extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and relatives of those who lost their lives, and to the people of brotherly Turkey on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan."
GEORGIA: THE PLANE DID NOT SEND ANY EMERGENCY SIGNAL The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the military transport plane belonging to the Turkish Air Force crashed in the Signagi region, 5 kilometers from the Azerbaijan border, and that an investigation has been launched regarding the accident. In a statement from the Georgian Air Navigation Administration, it was noted that the radar connection was lost just a few minutes after the plane entered Georgian airspace. The statement also mentioned that the plane did not send any emergency signals.
