OVERTURNED AND CROSSED INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE
The accident occurred around 15:00 on the Şile Highway in Çekmeköy. According to the information obtained, the dump truck with license plate 34 FSP 614, driven by A.A., lost control and overturned after the driver lost steering control. The swerving truck crashed into the median barriers and then skidded into the opposite lane.
DRIVER'S LIMB SEVERED
Due to the force of the accident, driver A.A. was thrown onto the road. Upon notification, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial intervention by the teams at the scene, driver A.A., found to have suffered limb loss, was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Due to the accident, the Şile Highway was closed to traffic in one direction for a while.
While police teams took security measures in the area, the overturned truck was removed from the site with the help of a tow truck, and the road was reopened to traffic. An investigation into the accident has been initiated by the authorities.
