According to the NYT report, which cites government sources, Trump signaled on Friday that attacks on Iran would be intensified. However, after evaluations with his senior staff, he decided to postpone the comprehensive operation for now.
The report claimed that US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine warned that if a large-scale operation was launched against Iran again, the US Central Command's (CENTCOM) interceptor missile stocks could drop to critical levels, and this assessment influenced Trump's decision.
