The star of the program 'Naked And Afraid' and a 34-year-old woman who described herself as a 'pirate', Sarah Danser, died in a traffic accident in Hawaii. Danser, who appeared on the Discovery Channel's 'Naked and Afraid' and most recently 'Fight To Survive', was involved in an accident on Sunday, October 20, in Kahala, Hawaii. According to a statement from the Honolulu police, a 59-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car. Sarah, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. She passed away the same day after her father Dan and brother Jake arrived at the hospital. Tragically, according to her family’s statement, Sarah had survived breast cancer twice before this accident. Her father, Dan Danser, said, "I have personally seen how much of a difference she made in the lives of others. I think she saved my life once while diving in Indonesia." Her brother Jake stated, "The best way to describe her is 'magical.' She had a positive energy that filled the room wherever she was." Originally from Colorado, Sarah had been living in Hawaii for 12 years. The television star, who was a skilled diver and boat captain, was working at Island Divers Hawaii before her death. The company is now working to create an ocean memorial with her loved ones. The driver who was seriously injured in the accident and a woman in the parked vehicle were taken to the hospital. A man in the parked vehicle refused treatment. Police stated that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident, but speed may have been a contributing factor.
