It was claimed that a 14-year-old student was assaulted by another student after school at a middle school in Çanakkale. While the moments were recorded by other students on their phones, the family of the assaulted student filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office. The father of the assaulted student expressed his outrage, saying, "My daughter cannot go to school right now. She jumps out of her sleep at night. She has started to look back while walking on the street. She is not eating right now. These kinds of psychological issues have started to emerge."
In Çanakkale, it was claimed that a female student, N.B. (14), was assaulted by another female student, Ş.B.A. (14), after school. It was reported that E.Ş. (14), another student, recorded the incident with her mobile phone camera, and N.B.'s family also filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office.
The incident occurred on February 3, in the district of Kepez. According to the allegations, eighth-grade students N.B. and Ş.B.A., who study in different classes at Hafız Halil Atan Middle School, argued during physical education class due to friends who allegedly carried gossip between them.
ASSAULTED BY PEERS
After the argument, N.B. and Ş.B.A. met after school. Another student, E.Ş., recorded the fight between the students with her mobile phone camera. N.B.'s family, who received a report of assault from the hospital after 9 days, filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office.

N.B.'s father, Harun B., stated that peer bullying has become a trend, saying, 'My daughter is an eighth-grade student, preparing for the LGS. On the day of the incident, their last two classes were physical education. While in class, her peers from the adjacent class somehow provoked her, threatening, 'We will fight you after school, we will beat you.' My daughter complained to her teacher. The teacher said, 'Okay, I will handle it.' That class passes. In the last class, she explains the situation to another physical education teacher. He also says, 'Nothing will happen, my daughter. Just run home right after school.' In other words, they do not call us, do not inform the class teacher or the principal. We have no information. We encounter this incident after school. They even recorded the moments they assaulted her as if it were a skill. What bothers us the most is that. They are laughing in the footage,' he said.

Harun B. also stated, "My daughter, normally while walking on the road, is called from behind, 'Come, we will talk to you.' It is also in the video. They pull her, tug at her. Suddenly, they attack. There is no reason at all. We have also filed a complaint with the Ministry of National Education regarding her teachers. We have made the necessary complaints to the judicial authorities as well. A report of assault was obtained after 9 days. My daughter cannot go to school right now. She jumps from her place while sleeping at night. She has started to look back while walking on the road. She is not eating right now either. These kinds of psychological problems have started to emerge. We went to the hospital, and they said she needs psychological treatment. For that reason, we are still going back and forth to hospitals. We have also made the necessary complaint to the judicial authorities. We are currently waiting for the result that will come from the prosecutor's office," he said.
