It was claimed that 80 thousand mines were cleared on the Turkey-Iran border. The Communications Directorate immediately denied the claim.

In a statement from the Disinformation Combat Center, the following was stated: "The claim that '80 thousand mines on the Turkey-Iran border have been cleared' circulating on some social media accounts contains disinformation.

The mine clearance activities carried out on Turkey's border are planned activities conducted within the framework of international obligations, aimed not at weakening border security, but rather at making it more effective with modern security systems.
