As Fenerbahce's new season squad takes shape, a notable decision has been made regarding Cengiz Under's future. Offers for the national footballer, who is not included in head coach Ismail Kartal's plans, will be evaluated.
As Fenerbahçe continues its squad planning for the new season, the names who will leave are beginning to become clear. In line with Head Coach İsmail Kartal's decision, parting ways with national player Cengiz Ünder is on the agenda.
BOARD WILL EVALUATE OFFERS
It was reported that the yellow-navy management has contacted the representatives of the 29-year-old winger, who is not in İsmail Kartal's plans, and has stated that they are open to potential transfer offers with a fee. Offers that may come from both domestic and international sources will be evaluated for the experienced player, from whom they aim to part ways also due to the high salary burden.
TRANSFER PROCESS AND LOAN SPELLS
Fenerbahçe transferred Cengiz Ünder from French side Marseille on August 13, 2023, for a transfer fee of 15 million euros and signed a contract with the player valid until June 2027. The national player, whose current market value has dropped to around 4 million euros, was loaned to American representative Los Angeles FC in 2025 and most recently to Beşiktaş for the 2025-2026 season after failing to find the consistency he sought at the yellow-navy club. With the completion of the loan spells, the player returned to Fenerbahçe once again.
FENERBAHÇE NUMBERS
Cengiz Ünder, who played in a total of 43 official matches across all competitions in the yellow-navy jersey, started in the first eleven in 20 of these matches. During this period, the experienced player contributed 9 goals and 2 assists to his team.
