Former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, whose name frequently appeared in documents made public regarding Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison while awaiting trial on charges of sexual exploitation and establishing a prostitution network for underage girls in the U.S., has stepped down from his position at the Arab World Institute, which he chaired. Lang's resignation was also approved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, whose name appeared in documents published regarding Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being prosecuted for establishing a network of sexual exploitation and prostitution of underage girls in the U.S., has resigned from his position as the head of the Arab World Institute (IMA).

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS CONFIRMED THE RESIGNATION

In a statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that Lang had stepped down from his position as the President of the Arab World Institute, which is affiliated with the Ministry. The statement noted that Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed the resignation.

LANG'S NAME APPEARS HUNDREDS OF TIMES IN EPSTEIN DOCUMENTS

It was stated that Jack Lang's name appeared more than 600 times in the documents made public regarding the Epstein case. The documents indicated that Lang had suggested various cultural trips to Epstein in Paris, and that Epstein had allocated his private jet for Lang's trip to Morocco in April 2017.

In another email, it was noted that Lang had directed some questions to Epstein regarding the religious and sexual education of children.

PHOTOS OF HIM IN FRONT OF THE LOUVRE

The documents also revealed a message sent by Epstein in March 2019 to former U.S. President Donald Trump's advisor Steve Bannon, which included a photo taken with Jack Lang in front of the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Following these developments, individuals from various political parties in France had called for Lang, who was understood to have had past contact with Epstein, to resign from the IMA presidency.

HIS DAUGHTER HAD ALSO RESIGNED

The independent media organization Mediapart revealed in new documents related to Epstein that half of the shares in a company established by Epstein in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2016 belonged to Lang's daughter, Caroline Lang.

Caroline Lang, whose name appeared more than 900 times in the Epstein case, had resigned from her position as the secretary-general of the Independent Producers Union (SPI) following the public disclosure of this information.

A FINANCIAL CRIME INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

On the other hand, the French National Financial Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation had been launched against Jack Lang and his daughter Caroline Lang for "money laundering based on aggravated tax evasion," as they were found to have communicated with Epstein.
