Intense rainfall in Uşak caused flooding and water inundation due to the overflow of streams in the Çanlı region. A total of 35 workplaces, including warehouses, workshops, and factories, were flooded.
After the heavy rains that were effective in Uşak, floods and water inundations occurred due to the overflowing of the streams in the Çanlı region. AFAD President Ali Hamza Pehlivan came to the region to inspect the ongoing works on-site.
HEAVY RAINS IN UŞAK CAUSED FLOODING
Due to the heavy rains in Uşak, the water levels of the Dokuzsele and Değirmendere streams in the Çanlı region rose and overflowed. As a result of the floods, there were floods and water inundations in the city.
After the disaster, AFAD President Ali Hamza Pehlivan came to Uşak to coordinate the ongoing works under the Turkey Disaster Response Plan (TAMP). Pehlivan, along with Uşak Governor Naci Aktaş, conducted inspections in the areas affected by the flood.
Receiving information from the authorities, Pehlivan followed the ongoing works on-site and conveyed his best wishes to the citizens.
35 WORKPLACES WERE FLOODED
Due to the heavy rains, water inundations occurred in a total of 35 workplaces consisting of warehouses, workshops, and factories. In the region, 150 personnel, 100 vehicles, 14 motor pumps, and 9 submersible pumps from AFAD, the Provincial Special Administration, the State Hydraulic Works, the Municipality, the Police, and the Highways are continuing their efforts.
Authorities reported that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident. It was learned that water drainage and cleaning works were ongoing in the areas affected by the flood. In a statement made by AFAD, best wishes were conveyed to all citizens affected by the floods and water inundations.
