U.S. President Joe Biden gave his last television interview as president to Lawrance O'Donnell from MSNBC News. In the interview, Biden also recounted a dialogue he had with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "BIBI, YOU CANNOT CARRY OUT A CARPET BOMBING ON PEOPLE..."Biden said, "After the attack by Hamas, I went to Israel and told Netanyahu, Bibi, you cannot carry out a carpet bombing on people. He replied to me, 'Well, you carpet bombed Berlin in World War II. You used nuclear weapons. You killed thousands of innocent people so that your army could win the war...'" recounting the dialogue between them. NETANYAHU: THEY KILLED OUR PEOPLE TOOJoe Biden continued the conversation, saying, "No matter what, you cannot kill dozens of civilians for one enemy. However, Netanyahu responded to me, 'They killed our people too.'" "A DIFFICULT SITUATION FOR NETANYAHU"Biden stated that Netanyahu is in a difficult situation regarding this issue, as he is serving as prime minister in one of the most "far-right" cabinets in Israeli history, and due to the sensitive balances in domestic politics, he cannot easily make important decisions like a ceasefire.
