An interesting trend has rapidly spread among Iranian youth following the death of religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump that "large-scale military operations" have been initiated against Iran, in which Israel is also actively involved, marks a turning point that directly affects not only the tension between the three countries but also the regional power balances. The sounds of explosions rising from the capital Tehran indicate that the crisis, which has long been progressing through diplomatic standoffs, has now entered a new phase on the ground.
"ONE OF THE WORST PEOPLE IN HISTORY..."
In a post on his Truth Social account, U.S. President Trump referred to Iranian leader Khamenei, who has had various statements regarding whether he is alive, stating, "Khamenei, one of the worst people in history, is dead." Iranian state television also reported the death of Ali Khamenei, stating, "The leader of the Iranian Islamic revolution has reached martyrdom." The Iranian government declared a 40-day national mourning and a 7-day official holiday following Khamenei's death.
AN INTERESTING TREND ON SOCIAL MEDIA
As discussions arise about who will take the vacant leadership position following Khamenei's death, an interesting trend has begun among Iranian youth. In a series of videos, young people are seen performing a dance associated with Trump.
