Actress İrem Helvacıoğlu gave a statement within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Ahbap Association. In her statement to the prosecutor's office, Helvacıoğlu said, 'If they have used resources that should reach people in need for their own benefit, I sincerely wish for them to be punished.'
Famous actress Irem Helvacıoglu, who was summoned to testify as a "witness" within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Ahbap Association, came to the Istanbul Justice Palace in Caglayan and gave her statement.

Irem Helvacıoglu's statement to the prosecutor's office has emerged. She stated that she met Haluk Levent during the forest fires in Izmir in 2021, but that there was no close relationship between them and that they had not been in contact for about 2-3 years.

The famous actress, stating that she did not make any monetary donation to Ahbap during the earthquake, said she contacted companies and mediated the procurement of baby diapers and similar necessary supplies. Helvacıoglu stated that she informed the association officials about the regions in need and companies offering reasonable prices, and added that the association officials carried out the purchasing and shipping processes.
The famous actress, noting that it was not possible for volunteers like them to know whether the aid actually reached its destination, said they only had information through updates from association officials and social media posts of earthquake victims.

Helvacıoglu, saying that she never targeted state institutions in any of her posts, stated that she tried to support the aid activities of state institutions, especially the Turkish Red Crescent and AFAD.
