As oil prices begin to decline in global markets, fuel prices in Turkey have increased. A hike of 10 kurus for gasoline and 3 lira 77 kurus for diesel has been reflected at the pump. With this latest increase, the diesel price has approached the 84 TL limit in some provinces.

THE HIKE IS REFLECTED AT THE PUMP
Fluctuations in global markets and movements in exchange rates continue to directly affect domestic fuel prices. According to information obtained from industry sources, the expected hike was applied to the diesel group.
This increase, averaging 3 lira 77 kurus, was reflected in price boards as of midnight. With the latest hike, plus additional costs, the liter price of diesel has reached the 84 TL threshold in some provinces. Gasoline, on the other hand, saw an increase of 10 kurus.

OIL PRICES FALL IN GLOBAL MARKETS
While domestic fuel prices are on the rise, a partial decline has been observed in international oil prices. Although no significant progress has been made yet in negotiations between the US and Iran, an increase in oil flow from critical maritime passage points pulled prices down as of Friday. In global oil markets, as of 07:30 CET, Brent crude lost 1.15% of its value, falling to $88.01 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, on the other hand, experienced a 1.8% decline, dropping to $82.09 per barrel.
