Israel says visa exemption deal with Morocco entered into force.

A visa exemption agreement between Israel and Morocco has entered into force, according to an Israeli diplomat on Saturday.

"I am pleased to inform you that an agreement has been signed between the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco regarding visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports," Israeli Ambassador in Rabat David Govrin said on Twitter.

He added that the move has "entered into force at the end of last month."

The Israeli envoy did not provide further details while Moroccan authorities have not yet commented on the announcement.

Morocco was the fourth Arab country to agree to normalize ties with Israel in 2020 after the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan.
