Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a total of 91,384 liters of counterfeit/illegal alcohol have been seized in operations conducted over the past week in 81 provinces before the New Year. Legal action has been taken against 171 individuals during these operations.

171 SUSPECTS WERE PROCESSED
In operations organized across the country by provincial gendarmerie commands and police departments, coordinated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the Gendarmerie Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, and the EGM Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, 91,384 liters of counterfeit/illegal alcohol were seized, and legal action was taken against 171 suspects.

Yerlikaya stated, "By seizing these products, we prevented harm to the lives and health of our citizens caused by the production of counterfeit and illegal alcohol. We are continuously carrying out our operations against counterfeit alcohol production in all 81 of our provinces. Please report any suspicious situations to our 112 Emergency Call Center.
