In the investigation into football betting, a detention order has been issued for 29 individuals, and the match between Kasımpaşa and Samsunspor, played on October 26, 2024, has also been included in the case. A striking detail has emerged in the "betting investigation in football" conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The prosecutor's office announced that a detention order was issued for 29 individuals, including former Galatasaray executive Erden Timur, while the Kasımpaşa–Samsunspor match played on October 26, 2024, was also included in the investigation file. This match has come back into the spotlight, particularly due to Samsunspor's Olivier Ntcham missing two penalties within 8 minutes and the subsequent footage.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE ISSUED DETENTION ORDER FOR 29 SUSPECTS
According to the prosecutor's statement, as a result of investigations conducted under different headings within the scope of the betting investigation in football, a total of 29 suspects have been processed. It was noted that 14 of the suspects are players, and Erden Timur, who previously served as an executive at Galatasaray, is also included in the file.
6 SUSPECTS WHO BET ON KASIMPAŞA–SAMSUNSPOR MATCH PROCESSED
The most notable part of the prosecutor's statement was regarding 6 suspects who were evaluated to have placed bets on the Kasımpaşa–Samsunspor match, which was understood to have "affected the outcome of the competition." The statement indicated that these individuals were detained.
HE MISSED 2 PENALTIES IN 8 MINUTES
The most talked-about moments in the match included the French midfielder of Samsunspor, Olivier Ntcham. Ntcham missing two penalties within 8 minutes in the first half had created a significant stir during the match.

The prosecutor's office reported that extensive investigations, including MASAK data and HTS analyses, are ongoing.
The statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the matter is as follows:
"Within the scope of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, known to the public as the 'Betting Investigation in Football';
As a result of the evidence identified from data obtained from MASAK and legal betting sites, open-source research, PFDK decisions, HTS analysis studies, and the examination of digital items seized from other suspects in the previous two operations,
A total of (29) suspects have been processed, including (7) suspects evaluated to have suspicious financial transactions connected to a detained suspect involved in previous simultaneous arrests, detentions, searches, and seizures,
(6) suspects who placed bets on the Kasımpaşa-Samsunspor football match dated 26/10/2024, which was understood to have affected the match result,
(1) suspect working at TFF, identified as having suspicious financial transactions related to a betting account as a result of the examination of bank accounts,
(1) suspect, Erden Timur, who previously served as an executive at Galatasaray Sports Club, identified as having suspicious financial transactions connected to violations of Article 11 of Law No. 6222, Law No. 5549, and Law No. 7258,
And (14) suspects who placed bets in a way that affects the match result (betting on the opposing team to win in their own team's match),
Simultaneous arrests, detentions, searches, and seizures have been carried out today in a total of (11) different provinces centered in Istanbul.
