Security measures have been increased for New Year's Eve in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. In this context, iron barriers have been brought to Taksim Square, and some roads leading to Istiklal Street have been closed as a precaution.

IRON BARRIER MEASURE
As part of the preparations for New Year's Eve, iron barriers were brought to Taksim Square. The area around the Taksim Republic Monument was surrounded by iron.
TRAFFIC CLOSED
With the decision made by the Istanbul Governorship, the roads leading to Taksim and Istiklal Avenue were closed to traffic as of 2:00 PM. Drivers were directed to alternative routes.
