Ormana Village, located in Antalya, has been selected as the best village in the world.

The village of Ormana, located in the İbradı district of Antalya, has been awarded the title of "Best Tourism Village" in the 2024 evaluations of the Best Tourism Village Program organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which is affiliated with the United Nations, has selected the best for the year 2024. This year, Ormana Village was chosen from among 55 tourism destinations included in the 'World's Best Tourism Village' list.

Ormana Village is located 2.5 kilometers from Antalya and is known as an old Yörük village situated at the peak of the Taurus Mountains.

AWARDED THE TITLE OF BEST TOURISM VILLAGE

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy highlighted in a post on his social media account that Ormana was selected as the "best tourism village," stating, "In the evaluations for the year 2024 of the Best Tourism Village Program organized by the United Nations Tourism Organization, Ormana Village, located in the İbradı district of Antalya, has won the title of 'best tourism village,' bringing pride to our country. The historical texture and unique natural beauties of Ormana have been internationally recognized for their contribution to sustainable tourism and rural development. Additionally, our Karabük-Yörük village has been included in the Improvement Program of the same initiative. This success story of Antalya-Ormana will create a new opportunity for gaining global recognition. Congratulations," he stated.
