A group of passengers in the Suluova district of Amasya made a donation by leaving a note for the heater they used in the mosque where they came to pray. The mosque's imam, Ersin Çulha, said that this beautiful act moved him and set an example for the community.
Citizens praying in the village mosque they visited in Suluova district of Amasya left a note with the electricity fee for the heater they used.
"WE USED THE HEATER, PLEASE FORGIVE US"
Ersin Çulha (34), the Imam of Kurnaz Village Mosque in Suluova district, was surprised when he found a note along with money in the mosque.
Reading the note that said, "Peace be upon you, teacher. We were on our way from Tokat to Sakarya. We stopped here to pray the noon prayer. We used the heater. Therefore, please forgive us. May Allah protect you," Çulha was moved. He put the money left behind into the mosque's charity box.
"I WAS VERY MOVED"
Çulha told an AA reporter that the note deeply touched him. He stated that it was the first time he encountered such an event in his six years of service, saying, "The other day, when I came to the mosque to lead the afternoon prayer, I noticed a piece of paper and some money next to the heater. I read what was written on the paper and was really very moved. Our visiting citizens used the heater. Therefore, they wanted to make a donation to the mosque. May God be pleased with them."
Pointing out that their mosque is located on the road, Çulha expressed: "It really pleases us that they carry such sensitivities. Our village and mosque, located on the Amasya-Samsun highway, is a mosque that our traveling citizens frequently stop by for worship. One of the citizens who visited our mosque has engaged in such an act of kindness, solidarity, and assistance.
This has truly pleased us. May God be pleased with them. With the approach of the three months and the month of Ramadan, encountering such an initiative related to the theme of Ramadan and goodness from both our Directorate of Religious Affairs and our District Mufti is really a very pleasing behavior for us. May our Lord be pleased. I believe that such behavior will serve as an example for the sustainability of cooperation, solidarity, and goodness in society."
Mehmet Duman, a member of the mosque congregation, also stated that the behavior exhibited was very sensitive and serves as an example.
