New details have emerged regarding the behind-the-scenes of journalist Cem Küçük's detention. It was claimed that Küçük blackmailed some businessmen by using the names of people in high positions. It was alleged that the MASAK reports in the investigation file support these claims.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an arrest warrant was issued for journalist Cem Kucuk on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and "blackmail." Acting on the given instruction, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command's KOM Branch Directorate took Kucuk into custody.
