The Turkish Football Federation announced a change in the format of the Ziraat Turkey Cup for the new season and introduced the new format.

The Turkish Football Federation has made changes to the format of the Ziraat Turkey Cup for the new season. The TFF has made a statement regarding the new format.

The TFF's statement is as follows;

"The Ziraat Turkey Cup will be played in the 2025-2026 season with the participation of a total of 155 teams, 139 of which are professional and 16 are amateur. The Ziraat Turkey Cup will be organized in the form of 4 Elimination Rounds, a Group Stage, and a Final Stage, with a total of 11 match weeks.

4 MATCHES IN GROUPS

The Group Stage will be played in 3 groups of 8 teams each. The 24 teams participating in the Group Stage will be divided into 4 pots of 6 teams each, and groups will be formed with the participation of 2 teams from each pot through a draw. In the Group Stage, each team will play a total of 4 matches, with 1 team from each pot. Out of these matches, 2 will be played at home and 2 will be played away.

After the group matches, a total of 8 teams will advance to the quarter-finals: the 6 teams that finish in the top 2 positions in their groups and the 2 best third-placed teams. In the quarter-finals, the group winners and the best group runner-up will be seeded, and the matches will be played at the home grounds of the seeded teams. As a result of the draw, the semi-final matchups and the host teams will be determined."
