During a panel held at Atatürk University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müge Yüce suddenly fell ill while speaking at the podium. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Reyhan Keleş provided the first intervention. After resting for a short while, Yüce completed her presentation to applause.
Many academics from Turkey and Russia participated in the 'International Academic Panel on Turkey-Russia Relations' held at the Atatürk University Cultural Center in Erzurum. The panel, which was conducted in three sessions, was chaired by Prof. Dr. Reyhan Keleş, Vice Rector of Atatürk University, during the first session.
COLLAPSED AT THE PODIUM
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müge Yüce, a faculty member of the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, who took the podium to present her speech titled "Reanalysis of Turkey-Russia Relations in the Changing World Order: Political, Economic, and Strategic Dimensions," collapsed shortly after she began her speech.
Noticing the situation, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Keleş caught Yüce, who was fainting, to prevent her from falling. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yüce, who was seated in a chair behind the podium and received first aid, quickly regained her composure. Continuing her speech from where she left off amidst the applause of the participants, Yüce successfully completed her presentation.
