Murat Soydan, whose real name is Rüçhan Tercan, was born on October 2, 1940 in Üsküdar. While studying at the Academy of Economic Sciences, he also graduated from the Turkish Music Department of Istanbul Municipality Conservatory. Murat Soydan, who won the competition opened by Perde Magazine in 1966 together with Tanju Korel, started his cinema career. Murat Soydan, who first appeared in front of the camera in 1966 with 'Kolsuz Kahraman', played roles in nearly 200 films. The artist, who also appeared in TV series, was the president of the Cinema Actors Association for a period of time. He started his cinema career in 1966 with the film 'Kolsuz Kahraman' directed by Nejat Saydam. Cüneyt Arkın, Fatma Girik, and Suzan Avcı were also in the cast of the film. Murat Soydan, who was one of the leading actors of the 1970s, shared the lead role with Türkan Şoray and Hülya Koçyiğit in many films.
