Hüseyin K., who worked as a 'sergeant' in the municipal cleaning services in Antalya, claimed that he was under pressure and jumped into Boğaçayı. Hüseyin K. was difficultly convinced and pulled out of the water by divers from the Coast Guard Command.
The incident occurred around 11:00 in Boğaçayı, located on 3rd Street in Liman Neighborhood, Konyaaltı district. It was reported that Hüseyin K., who served as a sergeant in the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Cleaning Services, jumped into Boğaçayı, claiming that he had been under pressure for a while. His colleagues, who saw him jump, tried to convince him from the shore for a long time.
COAST GUARD INTERVENED
When the efforts were unsuccessful, the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police, health teams, Coast Guard Command, and teams affiliated with the marine police were dispatched to the scene. The teams, which reached the area in a short time, tried to convince Hüseyin K., who was waiting in the middle of the water, by talking to him. However, a rescue plan was activated for Hüseyin K., who did not respond to all calls.
HE WAS SEEN TREMBLING
Divers from the Coast Guard Command entered the water and reached Hüseyin K. Refusing to come out of the water, Hüseyin K. was pulled to the shore in a controlled manner with a rope. After approximately one hour of effort, Hüseyin K. was brought to a safe point and pulled out of the water. Due to strong winds and cold, Hüseyin K., who was trembling, was wrapped in a thermal blanket and then placed on a stretcher and taken to the ambulance. Hüseyin K., who received first aid at the scene, was taken to the hospital for observation.
