In Anzer Plateau, located at an altitude of 2,300 meters, Anzer Honey, which is produced from over 400 flower species, including 40 endemic ones, has completed its extraction process and has been sent to Hacettepe University for analysis. The honey that returned with positive results has been packaged in 250 grams, 500 grams, and 1-kilogram jars at the Rize Beekeepers Union's filling facilities and is now ready for sale. KILOGRAM PRICE IS 4,000 TLThis year, the kilogram price of Anzer Honey has been set at 4,000 TL, with 500 grams priced at 2,000 TL and 250 grams at 1,000 TL. Although there is significant demand from abroad for Anzer Honey, which has a lower yield compared to other honeys, priority in honey sales will be given to local customers and patients who have placed pre-orders. SALES HAVE STARTEDMuzaffer Deniz, the President of the Anzer Ballıköy Agricultural Development Cooperative, noted that the analyses of the 2024-2025 honey at Hacettepe University Faculty of Science have been completed. He stated that the honey received from the analysis has been filled and sales have begun, saying, "Our production season in Anzer Plateau for the 2024 and 2025 season has ended, and we sent it to the Hacettepe University Faculty of Science. Our honey arrived from Hacettepe University on October 25. We have completed the first batch filling of our honey at the Rize Beekeepers Union and have started our sales. This year's price for 1 kilogram of Anzer Honey is 4,000 TL, 2,000 TL for half a kilogram, and 1,000 TL for 250 grams of Anzer Honey," he stated. INTENSE INTEREST IN ANZER HONEY IN EUROPEDeniz emphasized that Anzer Honey has received attention from many foreign countries, stating, "Our honey is a geographical indication product with a serial number. Of course, Anzer Honey is not a honey that is produced in large quantities like other honeys. In this sense, we are currently seeing a very high demand for Anzer Honey. In recent years, especially tourists coming to our country for tourism purposes from Arab countries, as well as from European countries such as Germany, Switzerland, England, and France, are aware of Anzer Honey and consider it a valuable honey, which has led to our overseas demand. We are even seeing requests for Anzer Honey from Singapore and Japan," he expressed. PRIORITY FOR LOCAL AND PATIENT ORDERSAlthough there is significant demand from abroad, Deniz pointed out that the priority for Anzer Honey is given to patients who have placed pre-orders, stating, "Our first preference is for patients in our country who have placed pre-orders. We will prioritize them and send Anzer Honey to them first. Of course, our priority here will be for patients first. Orders that have been placed as pre-orders will be sent in the first phase," he said.
