During their duty in Fatih, Istanbul, police teams conducted an operation on a house after detecting a strong smell of drugs from a street. In the operation, 8 kilograms and 650 grams of marijuana, 340 grams of crack cocaine, 266 grams of cocaine, 110 grams of hashish, 17,500 drug pills, 3,500 synthetic drugs, 3 unlicensed handguns, 15,200 Turkish lira, and 5 dollars in cash were seized.

The Istanbul Police Department teams detected a strong smell of drugs while patrolling in the Katip Kasım neighborhood yesterday evening.

AN OPERATION WAS CARRIED OUT AT THE ADDRESS

While the teams were conducting an investigation in the area, gunshots were also heard. In response, the teams took security precautions and carried out an operation at the identified address. As part of the operation, female suspects S.Z.D. and I.K., as well as male suspects S.M. and A.Ş., were apprehended.

During the searches conducted in the house, 8 kilos and 650 grams of marijuana, 340 grams of crack cocaine, 266 grams of cocaine, 110 grams of hashish, 17,500 drug pills, 3,500 synthetic drugs, 4 precision scales, 3 unlicensed pistols, 15,200 lira, and 5 dollars in cash were seized, hidden in the toilet ventilation space. The suspects apprehended in connection with the case were referred to the courthouse for 'drug trafficking' and 'violating the 6136 SKM law'.
