Mert Serkan Lülleci, a 25-year-old who was arrested and tried for killing Hacer Alkan by cutting her throat and injuring her husband Aydın Alkan in Zonguldak Devrek, has been sentenced to 28 years and 4 months in prison, including a reduction for good behavior.

The apartment manager Aydın Alkan (60) in Devrek district of Zonguldak was sentenced to a total of 28 years and 4 months in prison for stabbing and injuring him with a knife and killing his wife Hacer Alkan (55), with the charges of "unjust provocation" and "good conduct" reduction applied.

The incident took place on August 6, 2022, in İsmetpaşa Neighborhood of Devrek district. Mert Serkan Lülleci attacked Hacer Alkan, the wife of the apartment manager Aydın Alkan, with a knife at the entrance of the building due to dues and neighborhood relations. Lülleci also stabbed Aydın Alkan, who came down from the 4th floor upon hearing his wife's screams. Hacer Alkan lost her life, and Aydın Alkan was injured.
