15 suspects detained in an operation against individuals found to be working at businesses owned by Ozkan Yalim, who was shown as insured in Usak Municipality companies and was suspended from his mayoral duties after his arrest, were referred to the courthouse.
The procedures for 16 suspects detained in the operation carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams have been completed.
One of the suspects, F.E., was released after his statement to the gendarmerie. The other 15 suspects were referred to the courthouse.
It was learned that A.A., for whom a detention order was issued and who was found to have worked for a period in the Usak and Bornova municipalities, is being sought.
THE INCIDENT
Within the scope of the investigation by the Usak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into aggravated fraud to the detriment of public institutions and organizations, detention orders had been issued for 22 suspects, including Yalim.
In the operation carried out on July 29, 16 suspects were detained, and it was determined that 5 suspects, including Yalim, for whom arrest warrants had been issued, were already under arrest.
Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into "bribery," "extortion," and "tampering with tenders" against the Usak Municipality, an operation was carried out on March 27, and Usak Mayor Ozkan Yalim, who was detained, was arrested and suspended from duty.
