Speaking about his daughter, whom doctors initially diagnosed with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, Umut Akyürek responded to the host Gökay Kalaycıoğlu's question, "When did you first notice that there was a problem with Melek Bal?" by saying, "It actually started when she was just 12 years old, she began to not follow rules, she was having big problems at school, we get calls every day that she hit someone, she skips school and runs away. Huge traumas. We went through very difficult things, she was running away from home. Without us knowing, she got a tattoo on her leg and pierced her tongue."

"WE ADMITTED HER TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN WE COULDN'T CONTROL HER"

Umut Akyürek explained that after a while, he and his wife Oktay Ertuğrul decided to admit their daughter to the hospital because they could not control her behavior, saying, "First, we admitted her to a private hospital. We stayed there for 1.5 months. It was very financially burdensome for us. It was a very costly hospital, and we didn't get any results, it was a waste of time. We left, it went well for a while, then those old attacks started again. This time we admitted her to Bakırköy, which we knew. The conditions there were much harsher, but it worked, of course, she got herself together to avoid going back there. She started to comply with certain rules."

Akyürek explained that the problems he faced with his child also led to issues in his private life with his wife, saying, "My daughter has no limits, she smokes, we reluctantly allowed it. Her doctor said there should be a certain limit, if it's 10, then 10. She doesn't stop, she has crises. She eats 5 ice creams, she has gained so much weight right now, she is taking heavy medication. She is alive, but right now she is going down a cliff."
