Search operation was initiated for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır. Tavşantepe neighborhood headman and also Narin Güran's uncle Salim Güran, was arrested on September 2 as part of the investigation. 24 PEOPLE INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS ARE UNDER CUSTODYOn the 19th day of the search, Narin Güran was found dead at around 08.45 am, hidden in a sack with stones on top, by the Eğertutmaz Stream, wearing her clothes. Immediately after, Narin Güran's mother, father, two brothers, four uncles, and the wife of the arrested uncle were taken into custody, making a total of 24 people. Additional detention period was requested for the suspects. The detention of the suspects was extended for one more day. THEY PAID 200,000 TL TO GET RID OF THE BODYOne of the detained individuals confessed that the headman Salim Güran gave him Narin's lifeless body and asked him to throw it into the stream. The confessing suspect stated that he was offered 200,000 TL and after putting the lifeless body in a sack, he threw it into the stream and put stones on top. WHY WAS NARIN MURDERED?At this point, the question of who and why Narin was murdered creates a big question mark. According to Milliyet's news, there are 3 major suspicions. The first one is the possibility that Narin may have been subjected to abuse. This is the most serious allegation, and it will be revealed with the announcement of the autopsy report if it is true. LAND DISPUTEThe second issue considered is a land dispute worth 50 million TL between Salim Güran and Narin's father. The enmity that this situation would bring may have led to the murder. WHAT DID NARIN SEE?The third point is that Narin may have been killed because she saw something she shouldn't have seen. It is stated that Narin may have seen her detained brother using drugs or abusing a dog.
