HE WARNED ABOUT THE ELECTIONS
In his statement, Ahmet Davutoğlu, emphasizing the 2028 elections and making system-oriented criticisms, used the following expressions: "As we progress toward the 2028 elections, we consider it a historic duty to warn about two dangerous scenarios. With the weakening of the principle of separation of powers under the 'Presidential Government System,' the complete disappearance of balance and oversight mechanisms, and the acceleration of the strengthening authoritarian tendency, the pluralistic democratic rule of law, which already shows great weakness, could give way to a permanent authoritarian structure. This danger is independent of any president's person. The problem is a system problem beyond the individual."
