Dense fog in Istanbul: Bosphorus line closed to traffic

The Bosphorus was closed to transit ship passages due to dense fog in places. The fog layer over the Bosphorus was observed from Beşiktaş and Ortaköy, while the 15 July Martyrs Bridge disappeared from view due to the heavy fog. Some scheduled ferry services on Şehir Hatları were canceled due to the dense fog.

Fog has been affecting the Bosphorus line in Istanbul since the night hours.

BRIDGE DISAPPEARED FROM VIEW

Due to the fog that intensified in the morning hours, the Istanbul Bosphorus was closed to transit ship passages. The July 15 Martyrs' Bridge disappeared from view due to the fog.

SOME CITY LINES FERRIES CANCELLED

Some ferry services on City Lines were cancelled due to reduced visibility. In a statement on the City Lines website, it was stated, "Due to unfavorable weather conditions (fog), the following ferry services will not be able to operate until further notice." The cancelled services were listed as follows.
