TURNED DOWN RECORD-BREAKING FILMS
Murphy said, "Yes, there are a few films. Ghostbusters, Lethal Weapon, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit... I should have done those, but I didn't. I wish I had," he said. The famous comedian cited the significant box office earnings of these films as the reason for his regret.
The first Ghostbusters was released in 1984 and grossed over $243 million. Who Framed Roger Rabbit earned over $156 million. Despite turning down these films, Murphy continued his career, bringing unforgettable characters to life in films like Beverly Hills Cop, The Nutty Professor, Dr. Dolittle, and Shrek.
REPRISING THE DONKEY ROLE
Murphy is also sharing his personal journey and youth in the new Netflix documentary Being Eddie, which focuses on his comedy career.
Although the famous actor has stayed away from the projects he regrets, he continues to achieve significant successes in his career and will reprise his role as Donkey in the upcoming "Shrek 5."
