Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, hosted Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan at Dolmabahçe Palace.
Emine Erdoğan warmly welcomed Queen Rania Al Abdullah at the entrance of the Muayede Hall of Dolmabahçe Palace.
Emine Erdoğan and Rania Al Abdullah greeted each other with a hug and chatted before taking photos in front of the palace's crystal stairs and moving on to the Medhal Hall.
VISITED THE EXHIBITION WITH THE QUEEN OF JORDAN
Later, Emine Erdoğan toured the "From the Harmony of Nature to Cultural Memory: Nakş-ı Zaman Exhibition," organized by the Olgunlaşma Institute in the 1st Riding Hall, featuring colorful threads, embroideries, paintings, handwritten books, and miniature-like works.
Examining the products in the exhibition, which aims to reflect Turkey's traditional and artistic richness multilayered through the theme of embroidery, Erdoğan and Al Abdullah showed interest in embroidery examples made using techniques such as wire wrapping, wire breaking, Maraş work, hesap work, cord holding, and suzeni.
The exhibition also presented selections that bring together historical textile works adorned with plant patterns reflecting the thousands of years of embroidery richness of Turkish culture and modern designs to the appreciation of Emine Erdoğan and Rania Al Abdullah. Emine Erdoğan and Rania Al Abdullah closely observed the clothing works made with Ottoman palace fabrics and embroidery examples.
