The General Directorate of Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry conducted an official inspection at the retail point following a complaint made to the Alo 174 Food Hotline. During inspections, samples were taken from Tahsildaroğlu branded Ripened Classic Crumbled White Cheese product with batch number 290625 and sent to the laboratory. Breaking its silence on the matter, Tahsildaroğlu issued a written statement to inform the public. The company stated that the non-compliance is limited to a single batch and that there is no risk in other products: 'We were informed that our 400 gram Ripened "Classic Crumbled White Cheese" product with batch number 290625, which is the subject of the complaint, is non-compliant in terms of L. monocytogenes, and the process of withdrawing it from the market has been initiated as a precaution. In accredited laboratory analyses conducted on environmental samples taken from 37 different points in our facility and on our reference products, no evidence of L. monocytogenes was found. The product subject to the complaint is produced on a separate line, and there is no non-compliance in our other products. We kindly request that unfounded claims targeting our brand not be taken seriously.'
