40-year-old Şahin Doğan, who went on a picnic with his family in Adana, was swept away by the current in the Seyhan Dam Lake while trying to retrieve his child's slipper that had fallen into the water. Doğan, a father of four, was pulled from the water by police divers and taken to the hospital, but could not be saved despite all interventions.

The incident occurred near Seyhan Dam Lake in Bayram Hocalı neighborhood, central Sarıçam district. According to obtained information, Şahin Doğan went for a picnic by the lake with his wife, 4 children, and relatives visiting from Bursa in their car with license plate 01 AEZ 869. During the pleasant picnic, one of Doğan's children's slippers fell into the water. The unfortunate father entered the lake to retrieve his child's slipper and suddenly got caught in the current, beginning to struggle in the water.

DIVER POLICE RESCUED HIM FROM WATER BUT COULDN'T SAVE HIM

Doğan's relatives, who witnessed him disappear in the water, promptly notified the authorities. Upon the report, health teams and diver police from the Underwater Group Directorate were dispatched to the area.

After intense efforts by diver police, Şahin Doğan was pulled from the water unconscious. Following initial first aid at the scene, he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. However, the 40-year-old father of four could not be saved and passed away despite all medical interventions.

Doğan's body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for an autopsy, while his family, upon receiving the tragic news, was plunged into grief. Police teams launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
