40-year-old Hatice Mine Kocamaz in Adana was killed by her husband, who she wanted to divorce, by being shot in the head with a pistol while she was sleeping. The murder suspect husband, who fled after the incident, was caught within half an hour thanks to the meticulous work of detectives.
A 40-year-old woman who wanted to divorce was killed by her husband in Adana by shooting her in the head while she was sleeping.
HE COVERED HER FACE WITH A PILLOW AND SHOT HER IN THE HEAD
The incident occurred around 01:00 in the Kışla Neighborhood of the central Yüreğir district. According to claims, Hatice Mine Kocamaz (40) had decided to divorce her husband H.K. Despite H.K.'s efforts to oppose the divorce, Hatice Mine Kocamaz did not give up her decision. Thereupon, H.K. covered her face with a pillow while she was sleeping and shot her in the head with a gun. Upon reports from neighbors who heard the gunshots, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Suspect H.K. fled the scene afterward and disappeared.
SHE DIED AT THE SCENE
Health teams determined that Hatice Mine Kocamaz had died in the check. After the crime scene investigation team's work, Kocamaz's body was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
CAUGHT IN 30 MINUTES
Following the incident, detectives from the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau launched an investigation. Examining the City Security Management System (KGYS) cameras in the area and surrounding security cameras, teams identified the suspect H.K.'s escape route. Through technical and physical tracking, H.K. was caught and detained approximately 30 minutes after the murder. The suspect was taken to the police station for processing.
