BUS FIRST HIT A CAR, THEN A SIGN
The accident occurred at 07:45 on Eyüpsultan Bahariye. According to the information obtained, the passenger bus with license plate 57 ABZ 014, while in motion, lost control of the steering wheel, first hit the car with license plate 34 CZT 003, then crashed into a traffic direction sign and came to a stop.
30 INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITALS
Those who saw the accident notified the fire department and police. Upon the report, police, health, fire, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. 30 people injured in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
DRIVER AND CONDUCTOR TRAPPED IN VEHICLE
The bus driver and conductor, who were trapped in the vehicle due to the impact of the collision, were rescued by fire department teams and handed over to medical teams.
CONDITION OF 2 INJURED SERIOUS
Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner stated in a post on his social media account, "30 citizens injured in the intercity passenger bus accident in our Eyüpsultan district were transferred to our hospitals by ambulances after initial interventions at the scene. The treatment processes of our injured are being meticulously continued in our hospitals. The general condition of 2 patients remains serious. Following the incident, our health teams quickly arrived at the region with all their resources, and the process is closely monitored. We wish a speedy recovery to our injured citizens."
