43 BILLION DOLLARS OF MILITARY AID FINANCING TO UKRAINE
The NATO Summit, which has been ongoing for 2 days, stated in the final declaration that the alliance will continue to support Ukraine on the "irreversible path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership." It was also mentioned that allies plan to provide a minimum of 40 billion euros (43.28 billion dollars) in military aid financing to Ukraine next year.
"UKRAINE'S FUTURE IS IN NATO"
The declaration confirmed that when accepted by the allies and conditions are met, an invitation to join the Alliance will be sent to Ukraine. The declaration stated, "We fully support Ukraine's right to choose its own security arrangements and to decide its own future without external interference. Ukraine's future is in NATO. Ukraine has become increasingly capable of working together and politically integrating with the Alliance." The declaration also emphasized that Russia is the sole responsible party for the war in Ukraine, including blatant violations of international law, including the UN Charter, and that Russian forces and officials cannot go unpunished for human rights violations, war crimes, and other international law violations.
"DO NOT ASSIST RUSSIA IN ANY WAY"
The declaration called on all countries not to assist Russia in any way in Ukraine, mentioning Belarus, North Korea, Iran, and China by name, stating, "We condemn anyone who facilitates and thus prolongs Russia's war in Ukraine."
The declaration described China as a "clear facilitator" of Russia's efforts in Ukraine and highlighted Beijing's continued systemic challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. China was called upon to cease its financial and political support for Russia's struggle in Ukraine, while also expressing concerns about China's rapid expansion of space capabilities and nuclear arsenal.
SPECIAL CALL TO CHINA
The declaration called on Beijing to participate in strategic risk reduction talks and to cease all support for Russia's efforts against Ukraine. The declaration stated, "We call on the People's Republic of China, as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council with a special responsibility to support the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, to cease all financial and political support for Russia's war efforts."
