Claims that CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Gürsel Tekin was dismissed and a new name was appointed in his place caused a stir on the political agenda. While party spokesperson Müslim Sarı stated that the issue was discussed at the Central Executive Board and that a statement would be made in the coming days, Tekin stated that he remains in his post until October 16.
The repercussions of the claims that "extras were brought for a fee from casting agencies" to the membership ceremony organized by the CHP in Istanbul last week continue. In the shadow of these debates, it has been alleged that the CHP Headquarters, which came to office with the decision of Absolute Nullity, dismissed Istanbul Provincial Chairman Gürsel Tekin. It is claimed in the corridors that former Kağıthane District Chairman Mehmet Ali Yüksel has been appointed in place of Tekin.

Following the allegations, statements came one after another from the CHP front. Sarı, who answered journalists' questions about the appointment claims after the Central Executive Board meeting, said, "There was a discussion, an agenda on this issue at the Central Executive Board. However, we will make a statement on this issue in the coming days."
Tekin, stating that he had not received any notification regarding his dismissal, expressed that he remains in his position until October 16 as per the court decision and that no appointment can be made in his place.
OPERATIONS AGAINST MUNICIPALITIES AND THE DISCIPLINARY PROCESS
At the press conference, Spokesperson Müslim Sarı, who also announced the new provincial chairmen of 12 provinces, touched upon other issues on the agenda. Stating that they are not against the legal proceedings, Sarı emphasized that the process should be conducted based on the presumption of innocence and in accordance with the general principles of law. Responding to the disciplinary allegations against Selin Sayek Böke and Gül Çiftçi, Sarı announced that they will initiate disciplinary proceedings against individuals who are CHP members but work for another political party.
Stating that they are closely monitoring the resignation processes, Sarı said that approximately 120 municipal mayors have parted ways with the party so far. Sarı stated, "Only 2 of these municipalities are metropolitan municipalities. 10 of our 12 metropolitan municipalities continue to engage in politics within the Republican People's Party."
