The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had initiated an investigation ex officio regarding Ayşe Barım, who manages many famous actors, based on allegations in social media posts and news.
It was determined that the investigation was related to allegations such as 'violation of freedom of work' and 'blackmail', and a judicial control measure in the form of a travel ban was also imposed on Barım.

ARRESTED Ayşe Barım was arrested as part of the investigation opened against her due to allegations in the written and visual media regarding her participation in the Gezi Park events. A search was also conducted at Barım's home and workplace.

"In the analysis of the suspect, it was determined that during the period between 29/05/2013 and 02/06/2013, she directed artists associated with her company ID İletişim Danışmanlık A.Ş. to participate in the Gezi Park events, and it was also found that she personally participated in the events with the artists associated with her company. Emine Ayşe Barım, who was identified as one of the planners of the events, was arrested for the crime of 'Attempting to Overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey or Preventing It from Performing Its Duties.'
HER HEAD GOT INTO TROUBLE BECAUSE OF 3 NAMES As a result of the efforts of the Istanbul Organized Crime Fighting Branch teams coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Manager Emine Ayşe Barım had intense communication with the defendants of the Gezi case, Mehmet Osman Kavala, Çiğdem Mater Utku, and Memet Ali Alabora. It was understood that Barım directed the artists within her company to participate in the Gezi Park events.
